Danlock and Lucille Browne and Pickles discuss the book Red Rising for SciFi month.Red Rising is a 2014 dystopian science fiction novel by American author Pierce Brown. It is the first book and eponym of the series. The novel, set in the future on Mars, follows lowborn miner Darrow as he infiltrates the ranks of the elite Golds. Spoilers for the first book.
In February 2021, Stonemaier Games announced their Red Rising board game.[16] The game got a Recommendation by the International Gamers Awards 2021.[17]
In 2014, Universal Pictures secured the rights for a film adaptation, but the project was eventually scrapped. Brown began developing Red Rising as a television series in 2018, and insinuated that the potential series had one of the major streaming services interested in adapting the series in 2021.[18]

Danlock, Ruth and Lucille Browne and Calarious discuss the scifi tv show Dune: Prophecy Season 1. This tv show is based on the book: Sisterhood of Dune. developed by Diane Ademu-John and Alison Schapker for HBO. Set in Frank Herbert's Dune universe, the series focuses on the origins of the Bene Gesserit, a powerful social, religious, and political force whose members possess superhuman powers and abilities after undergoing years of intense physical and mental conditioning. Dune: Prophecy is a prequel to the Denis Villeneuve films Dune and Dune: Part Two, taking place some 10,000 years earlier. It draws upon, but is set after, the Great Schools of Dune novel trilogy (2012–2016) by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The show is produced by Legendary Television, with Schapker serving as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
Set 10,000 years before the events of Dune, Dune: Prophecy commences eighty years after an alliance of humans defeated the thinking machine armies who had nearly exterminated them. Sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen struggle to maintain the power and influence of the Sisterhood, and combat forces that threaten the future of humanity.
The story sheds light on the origins of the Sisterhood (later known as Bene Gesserit), their rise to power and influence in the Imperium, as well as their personal struggles, conflicts, and battle against a prophesied enemy (the Reckoning / 'Tiran-Arafel'); while at the same time delving into key historical aspects of the Dune universe, such as the roots of the Harkonnen and Atreides families. Lucille Brown, Danlock and a new guest Choco Goat joins the podcast to discuss the new Robert Patterson movie: Mickey 17. Mickey 17 is a 2025 science fiction comedy film written, produced, and directed by Bong Joon Ho, based on the 2022 novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. The film stars Robert Pattinson in the title role, alongside Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. Set in the year 2054, the plot follows a man who joins a space colony as an "Expendable", a disposable worker who gets cloned every time he dies for research purposes. Spoilers for movie.

Lucille, Danlock, and Ruth and sometimes Calarious discuss the Kdrama Love Scout for February 2025. Love Scout is an office Kdrama where a successful and confident woman (Han Ji-Min, actress) is the CEO of a head-hunting company. To survive in the fiercely competitive headhunting field, she puts everything she has into her work. Outside of her job, she doesn't know how to do anything. She has a secretary (Lee Jun-Hyuk, actor) who takes care of pretty much everything for her. Unlike his boss, the secretary is friendly, well-mannered, and considerate of other people. He is a single father, who is also good at parenting and housework.

Lucille, Danlock, and Ruth discuss in a rather short episode Love Hurts the new violent Action comedy Romance Valentine's Day movie, Love Hurts with Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose. This movie was directed by Jonathan Eusebio, in his directorial debut, and written by Matthew Murray, Josh Stoddard, and Luke Passmore. The film stars Ke Huy Quan, Ariana DeBose, Daniel Wu, Marshawn Lynch, Mustafa Shakir, Lio Tipton, Rhys Darby, André Eriksen, and Sean Astin. Its plot follows a former hitman-turned-realtor who learns that his brother is hunting him when he reunites with his former partner.

Heather Dixon Wallwork has been a story artist for Disney, a writer for HarperCollins, and currently works as an animation director in Salt Lake City. She is the author of the books "Entwined" and "Illusionarium".
